A season with seven MotoE races awaits Dominique Aegerter
Just over 90 days after the electric bikes were taken off the grid at the first test, the Dynavolt Intact GP team is happy about the announcement of the start of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup season 2020 on July 19th in Jerez de la Frontera.
The 29-year-old Dominique Aegerter can hardly wait to get back on his Energica Ego Corsa machine, which has the power of almost 147 hp. In the first and so far only test, things went very well for the Swiss with 3rd overall place and a gap of only 0.225 seconds to Italian Matteo Ferrari. Nevertheless, the experienced rider is aware of the challenge posed by the new procedure with the E-Pole lap and the short race distance, but is highly motivated to expand his wealth of experience.
The updated calendar provides for a total of seven races on three different race tracks for the 18 participants of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup 2020.
The venue for the first and second laps will be the 4.4 kilometre Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto in Andalusia, Spain. In Misano there will even be three races taking place. One at the Grand Prix of San Marino and just one week later at the Grand Prix Emilia Romagna e Della Riviera di Rimini there will be one race on Saturday and one on Sunday. The same procedure awaits the Memmingen-based team on 10 and 11 October in Le Mans, France, which is also the MotoE season finale.
All dates, events and the possible admission of spectators are subject to the development of the pandemic and the approval of the respective governments and authorities.
