Allez! Schrötter and Lüthi are ready for France

The 2019 Moto2 World Championship will enter its fifth round at Le Mans this weekend. Tom Lüthi and Marcel Schrötter arrive in France as second and third of the overall standings.

After an informative test last week in Aragon, the Dynavolt Intact GP team hopes for a positive weekend on the Bugatti circuit.

Tom Lüthi has a lot of good memories of Le Mans. For a total of four times, the Swiss stood on the winner's podium of the 4.2-kilometre long traditional circuit; in 2005 & 2006 in the 125cc class and in 2012 & 2015 in the Moto2. He counts a total of six podium finishes in France. Also this year the chances are not bad for him to repeat a successful weekend. It is not without reason that he is second in the World Championship. With a second place in Qatar, the victory in Austin and a fourth place in Jerez, he has clearly shown that he is one of the candidates for the top position. But the competition is strong, so he and his crew will stay focused and keep on with their hard work.

So will Marcel Schrötter, who is extremely hungry for a first victory. The 26-year-old was on the podium twice in four races and stormed on pole position twice. He is one of the few riders to have collected points in all four opening races of the year. The Bavarian has scored points in the last eight consecutive Moto2 races. The last time he had to leave empty-handed was last year in Thailand when he crashed out on the first lap. Currently third in the World Championship, he travels to France after having successfully fixed two broken metatarsals in his left foot on Friday in Barcelona. Until the first free practice sessions on this Friday, he had one week to recover and to be back on his Kalex as fit as possible.Trainings am Freitag hatte er eine Woche Zeit, um so fit wie möglich wieder auf seiner Kalex sitzen zu können.
